## Texans Triumph Over Patriots in Convincing Fashion

Pro Bowl quarterback C.J. Stroud showcased his talent once again, leading the Houston Texans to a commanding 41-21 victory over the New England Patriots. Stroud completed 20 of 31 passes, amassing 192 yards while securing three touchdowns and an interception. This marked the third time in his career with at least three touchdown passes, and his first for this season.

Joe Mixon made a remarkable return from a high ankle sprain, rushing for 102 yards and scoring two touchdowns — one on the ground and another through the air. Meanwhile, the Texans' defense dampened the debut of Patriots’ rookie quarterback, Drake Maye, sacking him four times and forcing four turnovers.

Maye showed glimpses of promise in his starting role, completing 20 of 33 passes for 243 yards and three touchdowns despite two interceptions. However, New England's running game was ineffective, accumulating only 23 yards on the ground. The team struggled without starting running back Rhamondre Stevenson.

Houston consistently moved the ball, scoring on five of their first nine drives, led by Stroud's precise passing. Tank Dell and Stefon Diggs combined for 134 receiving yards, contributing to the Texans' efficient offense. The Patriots' defense, missing key players, failed to contain Houston, allowing them to consistently exploit their weaknesses.

Injuries and previous trades have weakened New England’s defense, challenging their ability to withstand potent offenses. Despite Maye's potential, the Patriots remain at the bottom of the AFC East, facing an uphill battle ahead. Houston, leading the AFC South, will prepare for tougher challenges, with Mixon's return offering a boost to their playoff aspirations.
